    uncomfortable mattress

The room's furniture felt dated with a wobbly coffee table and uncomfortable mattress—spring metal frame felt unbearable. Heating issues were prominent, causing discomfort during a cold night, and the room felt somewhat chilly during the stay. Proximity to the busy beer garden created noise disturbances right outside the door, which could disrupt one’s peace at late hours.

    charming chalets
    friendly staff
    delicious food

the white horse was a great stay. the chalets were charming, and the location was peaceful. breakfast was well cooked, especially the poached eggs. the staff was cheerful and friendly, making us feel welcome. we loved the homemade lamb madras for dinner, it was delicious and portion size was generous.

a bit more heating in the chalets would be nice.

    charming, charming, charming

I had an unforgettable stay in a Superior Twin Room that perfectly blended comfort and character. The warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the rustic wooden beams and inviting open fireplace was simply delightful. Dining was a highlight. beautifully cooked home-cooked meals, especially the Sunday roast, left us craving more!

    100% recommend 😊❤️

Request room away from the bar garden for noise-free evenings. consider trying their homemade desserts.

    historic feature

    cleanliness issues

Historic well feature, pleasant pub atmosphere, good parking availability

Rooms could use better heating—uncomfortably cold at night!!! The decor felt dated and uninviting. A bit more attention to cleanliness in shared areas would certainly enhance guest satisfaction!!!

    tasty breakfast
    friendly staff
    cleanliness issues
    poor decor

    Equal parts impressive and disappointing

Delicious cooked breakfasts with gluten-free options pleased my palate, and the friendly, accommodating staff enhanced the overall experience.

Rooms had cleanliness issues, with mold in bathrooms and poorly maintained decor impacting comfort during my stay.

In a super quiet spot, loved the room's cozy vibe. The atmosphere was chill, perfect for unwinding after a day. Exceptional value and those geese outside? Iconic!

    spacious room
    excellent breakfast
    cleanliness issues

The location in Beyton is peaceful, just a short drive to Bury St Edmunds. Enjoyed the spacious Superior Twin Room. it had a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast choices impressed me with excellent cooked options and fresh fruit. Staff were cheerful and attentive, making every interaction pleasant. the room felt a bit dated, particularly the decor, and I noticed some cleanliness issues in the bathroom that could be improved. A stronger focus on room maintenance would enhance the experience even more.
